Girard-Perregaux And Boucheron Team Up For Reflet XL Automatic Watch

A Girard-Perregaux automatic movement will animate the limited edition Boucheron Reflet XL Automatic watch, a new timepiece which Boucheron has created to celebrate its 150th anniversary.

Presented in stainless steel, steel and gold, 18K gold, or platinum, the Boucheron Reflet XL Automatic measures 45mm X 31mm and is therefore the largest Reflet timepiece the company has ever manufactured.  The origins of the Reflet date back to 1947, when Boucheron applied for a patent to protect its invisible sliding clasp system.  Also famous for its unique system that enables the easy interchangeability of straps and bracelets, the Boucheron Reflet watch has remained popular with both sexes over the decades.

For the mechanism of this special watch, Boucheron turned to famed Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux. The manufacture's 4000 caliber movement ticks inside the Reflet XL Automatic, and is revealed through the elliptical sapphire caseback window.  The rotor has been relieved to showcase the Boucheron commemorative stamp, and the bridges dispense with the more typical Côtes de Genève decorative pattern, in favor of a unique cross-machined texture.  The balance wheel frequency of the GP 4000 caliber is 28,800 beats per hour, and power reserve is 40 hours.
