Basel 2008: Glashutte Original Senator Karree DIN Watches

Apr 21, 2008
Glashutte Original has presented two limited edition Senator Karree timepieces with attractive dials that are distinguished by their striking "DIN font". An abbreviation for "Deutsche Industrie Norm" (German Industrial Norm), this geometric typography has become an official national font, and is widely used by artists and graphic designers across Germany. The font will be featured on two limited edition Glashutte Original timepieces--the Senator Karree Panorama Date watch, and the Senator Karree Chronograph. These distinctive models are presented in richly polished 18K rose gold cases, whose tonneau shape has come to define this collection. The silvered dial features a central minute track which is encircled by the unique DIN-pattern numerals; two applied rose gold sticks at 12 o'clock provide a focal balance to the design.
The Glashutte Original Senator Karree DIN watches are animated by self-winding movements designed and manufactured in the Glashutte factory. Only 50 pieces of each model will be offered, worldwide.
