Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has presented a new limited edition Big Bang watch, that expresses the brand's link with the prestigious sailing club Real Club Nautico De Palma. For the last three years, Hublot has been a partner of the club, serving as an official timekeeper for the various elegant Mediterranean sailing events which take place, including the Copa del Rey.
The Hublot Big Bang RCNP watch ideally expresses the Hublot aesthetic concept of "fusion"; it features a 44.5mm stainless steel case with bezel lugs and side inserts in composite resin, the characteristic Hublot rubber strap, and a bezel crafted from black ceramic. The distinctive carbon dial is accentuated by sporty red details, including a red RCNP logo at 9 o'clock. Chronograph functions and the date display are controlled by the HUB44 caliber, a self-winding movement developed by Hublot in association with La Joux-Perret. Equipped with a massive tungsten rotor, the watch develops a full power reserve of 42 hours.
Hublot will produce 250 examples of the Big Bang RCNP timepiece, each of which is individually numbered. The watch is fitted with sapphire crystals on both sides, and is water resistant to 100 meters.
