The IWC Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic brings the famed technical mastery of
IWC to the highly competitive field of luxury dive watches. Featuring a unique internal rotating bezel system in combination with a chronograph that is fully protected against water intrusion without the need for any screwed pushers, the IWC Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic is an outstanding instrument with great style.
The movement of the IWC Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic is the automatic-winding caliber 79320, which has been completely optimized by IWC for both efficient operation and precision. The chronograph mechanism of the Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic watch can measure elapsed minutes and hours; its operation is easy and intuitive.
The lower button, a perfect example of IWC’s innovative engineering—performs two functions with equal aplomb: When it is turned, the unidirectional internal rotating bezel can be set to record elapsed dive times; when it is pushed, a transmission wheel disengages the rotating bezel and it functions as a traditional chronograph reset button---sending the stopped chronograph hand back to its starting position. An easily adjusted day and date display is another useful indication that this watch provides.
The IWC Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic watch is available in either stainless steel or titanium, with the choice of a matching metal bracelet featuring the unique IWC adjustment system, or a rubber strap. The massive and flawlessly machined case of the Aquatimer Chrono-Automatic is water resistant to a depth of 120 meters, ensuring safety during a dive as well as offering the rugged construction that is ideal for the adventurous lifestyle relished by IWC wearers.
