IWC Expands Schaffhausen Headquarters

Swiss watch brand IWC has completed a new West section of its Schaffhausen headquarters, which will house more than 200 employees.  The new facility is characterized by its open, contemporary design, and extensive use of glass and steel.  A showcase for the principle of environmental conservation, the building gives the IWC staff an ideal working space to focus on their tasks.

Georges Kern, Chief Executive Officer of IWC stated, “I am enthused by the modern architecture and our manufactory’s accomplished overall image just as much as by the attractive working environment that exists as a result”.

The new facility represents the completion of an IWC expansion project which began in 2005 with an East building.  In 2007, IWC added an ultra-modern museum, which replaced the original showcase the brand inaugurated in 1993 to commemorate its 125th anniversary.
