IWC Schaffhausen And Laureus Foundation In Mumbai For Magic Bus Project

Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen has again played a role in the philanthropic projects of the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation.  On November 18, 2008 Laureus World Sports Academy members Kapil Dev and Sir Ian Botham paid a visit to Mumbai, where they greeted and played cricket with impoverished children from the Dharavi slums.  The event was part of the Magic Bus project, which uses sports involvement to improve the lives of impoverished youth living in the most difficult or crowded conditions.

As it so happened, a girl from the Magic Bus program was declared the winner of a global drawing competition instituted by IWC Schaffhausen entitled "Time for Luck".  The young girl's drawing will be replicated as an engraving, which will appear on the IWC Da Vinci Chronograph Edition Laureus Sport For Good Foundation.  Proceeds obtained from the sale of this limited edition IWC timepiece will benefit Laureus, and its related charities.

Concentrated in subsidiaries around the world, the Laureus Sports for Good Foundation has positively affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of children; it has also raised millions of dollars to support various humanitarian projects.
