IWC Website Presents Cate Blanchett And Joseph Fiennes In Short Film, "Minutes Of A Separation"

IWC Schaffhausen is featuring a 20-minute film on its website, "Minutes Of A Separation", which stars Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett and critically acclaimed British actor Joseph Fiennes.  Directed by Nigel Jamieson, the film portrays a fictional account of the events leading up to the 19th century creation of IWC.  Fiennes plays young IWC founder Florentine Ariosto Jones, and Blanchett stars as his pregnant wife, who is left behind while the young American pursues his intrepid vision of revolutionizing watch movement manufacturing in Switzerland.  In addition to the film itself, a "making of" segment reveals intriguing glimpses into the project, highlighted by interviews with Blanchett, Fiennes, other actors, and the director.

The online film premiere follows the gala night performance of a multi-media stage play which took place in April before 1,700 guests during the SIHH watch fair in Geneva.

IWC is known for its collaborations with acclaimed actors to realize artistic media projects.  In 2006, John Malkovich lent his presence to the film "Pilots", and last year, Kevin Spacey starred in "Leo and Lisa".
