Pre-Basel 2008: Jaquet Droz SUW Sports Watch

Jaquet Droz will present its first sports timepiece at the upcoming Baselworld exhibit.  The Jaquet Droz Grande Second SUW watch will join the brand's Hommage Geneve 1784 Collection, offering distinctive Jaquet Droz stylistic elements that merge with a bold 21st century aesthetic.

The SUW designation--an abbreviation for "Sport Utility Watch"--succinctly reveals the aspirations of this timepiece.  The Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde SUW watch features a distinctly designed 45mm stainless steel case with a notched, polished bezel and uniquely shaped crown protectors which are mirrored on the opposite side.  The three-dimensional treated rubber dial offers the characteristic off-centered time display which has come to define the unique Jaquet Droz aesthetic to many connoisseurs; elegant yet sporty and dynamic, it features beveled and polished metal elements, and skeletonized hands that bear luminous orange material.

A patterned Jaquet Droz rubber strap, crafted from rubber compliments the athletic nature of this watch.  A patented folding clasp whose appearance evokes the bezel elements, features protected security push-pieces.
