The Jaquet Droz Chrono Monopoussoir watch The Jaquet Droz Chrono Monopoussoir watch is an extraordinary luxury timepiece that unites a resolutely classic style, with exceptional old world craftsmanship and a sophisticated chronograph movement. Inspired by the famous designs of Pierre Jaquet-Droz, the Chrono Monopoussoir watch is a chronograph timepiece of the utmost elegance. Within a distinctively graceful 43mm case crafted from polished 18K white or red gold, this timepiece features a selfwinding chronograph movement whose foundation is the famous Frederic Piguet 1185 caliber. This selfwinding chronograph movement, long prized for its slender construction, traditional column-wheel controlled mechanism, and refinement, has been elaborated by Jaquet Droz for an extremely elegant monopush chronograph mechanism. Start, stop, and return to zero functions are all controlled by the single button which is co-axial with the winding crown. In addition, with this watch, Jaquet Droz has succeeded in producing the first m onopush chronograph with a 12-hour totalizer. The fine details of this movement, including Cotes de Geneve, perlage and anglage finish on the bridges, and a guilloche gold rotor can be readily admired through the exhibition sapphire caseback; connoisseurs will also delight in observing the precise action of the chronograph's column wheel, each and every time that the chronograph pushpiece is activated.

Jaquet Droz timepieces are celebrated for their delightful handcrafted details and unique aesthetics. In this regard, the Chronograph Monopoussoir watches are absolutely exceptional. The unique dials, available in several interpretations----Email (genuine enamel), Cerclee (applied gold circular elements) and Minerale (like the Cerclee, but with a background in adventurine, rutile, meteorite or other exotic natural materials) all display unparalleled attention to detail and represent some of the very finest work ever put forth in the world of haute horlogerie.

The unique a rrangement of the subdials--including the uppermost dial which features the hour and minute hands--gives the Chrono Monopoussoir watch an appearance that is utterly distinctive, yet impeccably elegant. Like all Jaquet Droz timepieces, these models feature steel hands which have been painstakingly fire blued in the traditional manner. The Jaquet Droz Chrono Monopoussoir watch is completed by non-tapered alligator strap and an ardillon buckle in 18K white or red gold.
