Kwiat has been chosen by viewers as the wedding rings of choice for the “TODAY Throws a Wedding-Race to the Altar” – a segment of the TODAY show in which a lucky couple not only gets married on television but has every decision of the wedding ceremony made for them by internet voting. The TODAY show wedding quickly gained popularity and has become a favorite summer feature.
Kwiat was chosen from among many other diamond ring brands for the Atlanta couple LaDonna and Darnell with Ritani, Bvlgari and Kirk Kara as finalists. The Kwiat rings feature two parallel bands with intersecting points symbolizing marriage. Both rings are crafted in platinum with the womens ring having 0.50 carats of diamonds all around the ring while the mens ring has a high polish finish and both have three areas of open spaces. The rings are part of the Fidelity collection.
When choosing a wedding band, it is important for couples to discuss when and how they each plan to their rings. Traditionally, wedding rings have been matching – having the same design but with slight style differences for the mens and womens band. For the traditional look, the two wedding bands would be very similar. A growing trend has been that each ring will be distinct and will reflect the personality of the man and woman. The woman should also consider how she intends to wear her two rings: together on the left hand; separately at different times for different occasions; or, one on the left hand and the other on the right hand (a popular trend nowadays). The design of the wedding band could influence how the engagement ring and band are worn. For example, with the Kwiat rings for the TODAY show, the womens ring will not fit snug against LaDonna’s engagement ring due to the wider intersecting points creating gaps. These kinds of ring designs are important to consider when the woman is choosing how she will wear her rings.
Congratulations to Kwiat for being chosen as the winning wedding band for this years’ TODAY show wedding segment.
