Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Titanium Watch

By Adam Keith, Associate Timepiece Editor for ViaLuxe-

With its proprietary system of triple retrograding second hands, the Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton watch stands as one of the most striking and immediately recognizable models from Swiss brand Milus.  Capable of taking on many different personalities depending upon the metal of the case, the dial material, and even the strap, this timepiece strongly reveals the spirit of Milus, while offering its customers the opportunity to express their own unique preferences and style.

The Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Titanium watch carries the banner for dynamic individuals with an appreciation for casual elegance.  Featuring a case manufactured from ultralight, super-strong, and hypoallergenic grade-5 titanium, this Tirion model measures 45mm, a bold diameter that emphasizes the finishing quality and complexity of the 9-piece Tirion form.  A convex sapphire crystal rises gently from the plane of the slightly domed bezel to fully reveal the intricacies of the breathtaking carbon fiber dial.   Presented on two distinctive levels, this sporty work of art showcases glimpses of the gleaming underdial mechanism--an aspect that adds additional interest to the endlessly fascinating clockwise relay of the three red-tipped seconds hand.  Progressing in a steady rhythm, the hands travel singly over their 20-second scale.  Once a hand completes its travel, it instantly springs back to its starting point, and the next hand--in the clockwise direction---immediately begins to run, repeating the same action.  The date display offers its own visual appeal, too.  A transparent section on the periphery of the dial shows the date ring, which advances precisely every 24 hours.

Six screws secure down the brushed titanium caseback of this Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton timepiece.  A sapphire crystal window in its center reveals the elaborated Swiss ETA movement which scintillates with circular graining on the bridges, and an appealing skeletonized winding rotor shaped in the form of the brand's logo.  An exclusive Milus module fitted to the base caliber controls the triple retrograde seconds function.  The smooth Glucydur balance completes 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, and power reserve of the fully-wound barrel is sufficient to keep the movement running for approximately 42 hours after the watch is removed from the wrist.

The Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Titanium watch is completed by a handsome white-stitched leather strap which displays a pattern designed to evoke the look of black carbon fiber.  Depending upon the fit that is preferred, customers can obtain the strap with either a titanium folding clasp, or a traditional prong buckle.  As with other Tirion models, water resistance is rated for 30 meters.
