Milus TriRetrograde Wins (Another) Award For Best Timepiece
By Ariel Adams for ViaLuxe.com

At the Couture event recently in Las Vegas Milus picked up yet another award for its coveted TriRetrograde watches. This time for the Tirion model that houses the unique triple 20 second retrograde movement in a round case. The movement originally showed up in the Herios square cased watch model. Specifically the Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton 1919 limited edition watch model received the prize of “Best of Timepieces.”

There are a few major reasons why this limited edition of just 38 pieces won over other watches. First is the fact that the TriRetrograde movement has a novelty that simply refuses to wear off. The fun to watch and functional mechanism continues to delight judges even a few years after its arrival. The partial skeletonization of the dial also adds another dimension of viewing pleasure into the work and operation of the movement. This goes to the fact that watch lovers want complications that are a pleasure to watch and add value to their timepieces. Next is the impeccable utility of the timepiece. Large easy to read lume covered hands and Arabic numerals for the hours make this watch more than just a technical showpiece – it is easily a daily wear watch. Last is the decoration and Swiss craftsmanship. A rose gold case, alligator strap, and finely decorated movement - are all essential elements in a flagship watch model of this style.

The message of this winning watch is clear – the high-society of watch lovers and makers appreciate timepieces with classic sensibilities that have a unique modern touch that is well executed. I do agree that this Milus watch embodies those ideals quite well.
