The
Milus Herios TriRetrograde watch is an elegant, striking and technically fascinating creation of fine Swiss craftsmanship. A rare combination of expressive detailing and mechanical brilliance, this acclaimed Herios timepiece demonstrates why Milus watches are rapidly becoming a shining new star in the luxury realm.
The elegant Herios watch case is crafted from stainless steel, 18K red gold, or 18K white gold. Its dial is a unique marriage of classical elements and exposed mechanical intricacy; a peripheral section, bearing modernized Arabic numerals encircles a central section that bears the skeletonized, blued steel hour and minute hands, as well as three retrograding hands which each govern an arc-shaped sector. Shimmering cotes de Geneve and perlage decorations applied to the metal surfaces add additional visual appeal to the horological play that is revealed upon this opulent stage.
The
Milus Herios TriRetrograde watch is animated by a self-winding mechanical movement which presents a unique and delightful function--a three-part retrograding seconds complication. At any time the watch is running, one blued steel hand is being propelled smoothly through its sector, for a period of 20 seconds. Upon completion of the 20-second movement, the hand instantly snaps back to its starting position and the next hand resumes the relay. The result is a continuous, clockwise play of mesmerizing retrograde action that animates the dial in a unique way. A sapphire crystal window in the screw-secured caseback allows one to admire other aspects of this fine mechanism.
Each Milus Herios Triretrograde timepiece is completed by a luxurious alligator strap. A range of dial variations are offered between the stainless steel and 18K red gold models. A white gold model is also available, and scintillates with the setting of round brilliant diamonds on both its case and dial.
