Within its 38mm case--which has been meticulously polished by the Montblanc craftsmen--resides a selfwinding movement with an alarm function, plus day or the week and date, all of which are easily adjusted. The Montblanc 4810/904 caliber movement has 31 jewels, and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours; built upon the foundation of a proven ETA mechanism, this movement is reliable, mechanically robust, and a good timekeeper; nicely decorated by the Montblanc artisans, this mechanism can be admired through the exhibition sapphire caseback.

The Montblanc Star Platinum Reveil Automatic watch has an extremely elegant dial, whose silvery surface is graced with Roman numerals; the slender leaf-shaped hands are a perfect compliment to this, and present a very graceful appearance. In order to facilitate the reading of the alarm function, the additional hand for the alarm setting is marked with a luminous triangular tip, so that it can be confirmed at a glance, even in total darkness.
