SIHH 2009: Montblanc Star 4810 Chronograph Automatic
The Montblanc Star 4810 Chronograph Automatic is an appealing new addition to one of the most popular timepiece collections of Montblanc. Measuring 44mm in diameter, the stainless steel case features a brilliant polished finish that contrasts appealingly with the black guilloche dial and its contemporary polished Roman numerals. A date display has been cleverly integrated into the lower section of the 12-hour chronograph counter.

Housed inside the case is the self-winding 4810/501 caliber, which has earned a chronometer certificate from the Controle Officiel Suisse des chronometres (COSC). The chronograph function showcases chronograph central seconds, in addition to 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers. The small subdial at 9 o'clock shows continuous subsidiary seconds. Any changes to the date are easily actuated via the crown. Power reserve of the Montblanc 4810/501 caliber is 46 hours, and the glucydur balance completes 28,800 alternations per hour. A sapphire exhibition window in the back displays perlage-finished bridges and other refinements.

The Montblanc Star 4810 Chronograph Automatic will also be offered in 18-karat rose gold, with either an anthracite or silver dial. All versions of the watch are fitted with straps in alligator leather and a triple-deployant clasp. Water resistance is rated for 30 meters.
