Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial Chronograph Watch For 2009

A study of Omega’s core buying market reveals a broad spectrum of dedicated and educated watch enthusiasts as well as fresh watch lovers with little knowledge about what makes a timepiece “good.” You see this intersection of watch appeal in models meant to be sales leaders for the popular watch brand and this concept is epitomized here in this new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial Chronograph watch line. Coming in four models, the watch falls heavily in the direction of the person who wants an expensive watch from a brand they recognize, but that won’t disappoint brand loyalists who appreciate the “moon watch heritage” of the brand and the “functional” attitude that this character espouses. Thus you have one model available in steel and three in gold (18k white, rose, or two-tone with rose gold and steel as pictured). The gold watches are priced into the “status” audience, but the Co-Axial automatic caliber 3313 chronograph movement that has been COSC Chronometer certified – will allow the core base of fans to appreciate the timepiece’s innards and functionality.

Unlike the recently announced GMT model that is the close cousin of this model, the base chronograph watch dispenses with the rotating bezel for a smooth polish more jewelry like bezel. Even the steel model of the watch enjoys gold hands and hour markers on the dial, which also features Omega’s new “Teak Concept” dial meant to reminisce the wood planks on luxury yachts. In gold, the new Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph is a lifestyle watch, but plenty of brushed finishing and a functional character that no Omega watch can shake alludes to the instrument timepiece which lays at the core of the brand’s character. The watch is also available with an alligator strap and should be available soon.
