Omega Speedmaster Watches - Day Date Watch and the Speedmaster Professional

Omega’s Speedmaster collection is a true sports chronograph. The Speedmaster line consists of eight versions: the Legend, Broad Arrow, Date, Day Date, Moon Phase, Professional, Racing Chrono, and the X-33. The Speedmaster Legend is a limited edition watch with a white and black dial and Tachymeter bezel. Available only in steel this watch is water resistance to 330 feet. Next in the line is the Broad Arrow, named for the oversized Arrow hour marker. The Broad Arrow has a less cluttered dial than the Legend and is available in seventeen different dial and strap combinations.

The Day Date model is available in both steel and red gold. This watch features a day date, chrono, small seconds and 24 hour function. Omega moves into the more complicated dress watch category with the Speedmaster Moon Phase. Available in five different versions this watch has four subdials for the seconds, minutes, hours and phases of the moon.

The Speedmaster Professional is Omega’s most famous watch. The first watch to go to the moon on a manned space mission, this timepiece has a classic conservative design with stick markers on the dial and is available in nine different versions. The Racing Chronometer is very similar to the Professional, but has an edgier black carbon fiber dial. Omegas’ Speedmaster X-33 is different from all the other Speedmaster models for several reasons. It has a quartz movement with a hand that measures in the traditional method with a hand on the dial. The chrono function is cleverly displayed on a digital display set in a concentric circle inside the hour and second marker dial.
