Panerai P.9000 Watch Movements To Be Shown In Singapore

By Adam Keith, Associate Timepiece Editor for ViaLuxe-

Watch collectors and Officine Panerai fans desiring a closer look at the Panerai's in-house P.9000 family of manufacture movements will have a good opportunity to do so at a free public exhibition in Singapore scheduled for early July 2009.

Panerai first announced the P.9000 calibers and the Luminor watches to house them at the 2009 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, in January.  The caliber range, which comprises three variations offering various features, share in common a self-winding mechanism, as well as a lengthy three-day power reserve, courtesy of two spring barrels.  Housing the new movements are watch cases closely based upon the Luminor 1950 from the Manifattura range.

The Panerai P.9000 exhibition will be held from 11AM to 6PM through July 8th and 9th, at Singapore's Asian Civilizations Museum.  Members of the media can also view the exhibits on July 7th.  In addition to the full range of P.9000 movements and timepieces, Officine Panerai will have a special group of Manifattura collection watches on display.
