The Piaget Altiplano Squelette watch is a luxurious new creation from the house of Piaget. Presented in a confident 40mm diameter, the slender 18K white gold case of this elegant timepiece frames a movement which has been completed openworked, exposing the fine craftsmanship and intricacy of the mechanism. Sapphire crystals on both front and back allow an extremely clear view all the way through the wafer-thin 2.7mm structure with its various gear trains, mainspring barrel, keyless works, and the softly pulsing balance wheel.
The heart of the Altiplano Squelette watch is the manually wound Piaget 838P caliber, which is manufactured in-house by Piaget. A contemporary air governs the design and decoration of the rhodium-plated bridges, which showcase beveled edges, and a sunburst engraved pattern; 60 "rays" stream across this shimmering surface, and extend outward onto the flange. The balance wheel alternates at a rate of 21,600 beats per hour, and power reserve of the mainspring is 65 hours.
A fine alligator strap and a white gold pin buckle complete the Piaget Altiplano Squelette timepiece.
