As part of the 2008 media kit from the Couture trade show, Roberto Coin included his personal thoughts, reflections and comments on luxury -- what it means and the challenge it presents. He emphasizes how he and his company happily meet that challenge head on daily with their focus on the client above all else and the embracing of the diversity of luxury and its far-reaching potential.
JUNE 2008 -- PRESS RELEASE -- Luxury is a complicated challenge in this more complicated world. Probably this is one of the reasons why I never liked the word “Luxury”: especially today, it is sometimes misinterpreted. I think we all agree that it needs to be redefined what Luxury is all about. Every person has his own idea of what Luxury really means to him. Because Luxury is complex, I personally love it and I’m used to accepting this type of challenge immediately, as it always represents a stimulating spur and new energy. We have invested a tremendous amount to obtain the best possible management, the best quality products, the best design; always presenting new concepts by giving our clients the best possible service and the most interesting Advertising Campaign; but most of all we have invested on our clients and this, today, we can say it is a luxury achievement. In the end, this is just a small thought: Luxury can be doing whatever you want, whenever you want, as long as it pleases you and all the people that you care about, but also remember that it is important for the future to give back romanticism, happiness and most of all class, regardless which type of Luxury you are branding. -- Roberto Coin
