Scott Kay Mens Collection 2008: Breaking Tradition and Carving a New Path

Mens jewelry was a highlight of Scott Kay’s newest additions for 2008. He unveiled an even more complete and incredibly daring mens collection which included bracelets of various signature patterns and a mens collection of rings, pendants and cufflinks called Unkaged. The
Scott Kay Unkaged collection unleashes the modern man from the traditional white gold or white gold with diamond jewelry to reveal his wild side -- his inner rebellious side. The signature motifs include tattoo patterns of modernized thorns, skulls, and medieval era crosses. Like many other designers who launched substantial mens collections over the past year, Scott Kay awoke to that trend and has taken it to a whole new dimension with his hardcore, gothic twist. On the other hand, not all of the mens collection pieces were skull and bones. He unveiled a small collection of more subdued pieces featuring onyx centerstones, weave patterns, and rivet patterns (aligned dots). His pendants contained a large number with modified Christian crosses and traditional Stars of David in gold as well as dog tags with centers of gold. The Scott Kay mens collection represents a walk on the wild side of adventure, gothic culture, and a rejection of traditional preconceived notions of mens jewelry.
