TAG Heuer Throws Maria Sharapova 21st Birthday Bash

Tennis star Maria Sharapova celebrated her 21st birthday party on May 23rd at a swank New York party hosted by TAG Heuer. The festivities, which took place at hotspot Tenjune, were attended by a coterie of celebrities and fashion luminaries; this group included Anna Wintour of Vogue Magazine, renowned designer Vera Wang, and actors David Annable and Michelle Trachtenberg. DJ Cassidy was on hand to spin dance tunes, keeping the festivities hot throughout the evening. Maria Sharapova has been a TAG Heuer ambassador since 2004, her brilliant career record, talent, dedication and glamorous elegance being a true compliment to the core values of the famous Swiss watch brand.

On hand to congratulate Sharapova and welcome her guests was TAG Heuer CEO Ulrich Wohn. "Maria is part of the TAG Heuer family and we are honored that we were able to celebrate this special day with her," said Wohn, as he raised a toast. "To have accomplished so much by this age is truly amazing and the embodiment of TAG Heuer’s ‘what are you made of?’ principle." Sharapova was then presented with a pink eight-tier cake, which guests enjoyed with drinks, including the "Grand Slam"--a specialty cocktail made in honor of the tennis star.

"I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my 21st birthday than being in New York with all of my close friends," said Sharapova.
