Ulysse Nardin Super Yacht Cup 2008 Limited Edition Watch

As it did in 2007, Ulysse Nardin has introduced a limited series of Super Yacht Cup Limited Edition watches to commemorate the prestigious Super Yacht Cup in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.  

Presented in both 18K rose gold and stainless steel versions, the Maxi Marine Chronometer 43mm watch provides the basis for this limited edition.  While they share the basic technical and dimensional specifications of the standard model--including screwed crowns and a coin-edged bezel--the two Ulysse Nardin Super Yacht Cup 2008 watches stand out for their distinctive commemorative details: both the galvanic blue dials and steel or 18K gold strap elements bear the Super Yacht Club emblem.

The Ulysse Nardin Super Yacht Cup 2008 Limited Edition watch is animated by the self-winding UN-26 caliber.  Featuring a balance wheel that beats at a pace of 28,800 alternations per hour and a 42-hour power reserve, this movement incorporates the date, a sub-seconds display and a power reserve indicator whose layout echoes the format of historical Ulysse Nardin ship chronometers.

Offered for sale exclusively in the Spanish market, the Ulysse Nardin Super Yacht Club 2008 Limited Edition watch will be made in a series of 50 pieces in 18K rose gold, and 99 additional examples in stainless steel.  Both models are water resistant to 200 meters, and are fitted with sapphire crystals.
