Watch connoisseurs and collectors and retailers of Vacheron Constantin timepieces gathered at the posh Cine de Chef cultural complex on May 20, 2009 as the historic Geneva manufacturer officially launched its acclaimed Quai de L'Ile watch collection for the Korean market. An evening of conversation and fine dining provided the perfect backdrop for the VIP crowd to discover the numerous fine details of the Quai de L'Ile concept, which you can read about by clicking here.
After first experiencing elegantly arranged displays which contained various configurations of the bespoke Vacheron Constantin collection, guests were ushered into a private theater area to experience "Journey to the heart of Vacheron Constantin's Secret", a film which detailed the rich history of the brand--a history strongly interwoven with some of the most influential and famous names in politics, art, and public life. Mr. Yann Bouilonnec, Asia Pacific managing director for Vacheron Constantin spoke afterwards, making a formal introduction of the Quai de L'Ile. Spurred by what they learned, guests spent time with some interactive technology which delved deep into the technical details of the watch, as well as its numerous possible configuration options.
However, the seductions of Vacheron Constantin's customizable wristwatch weren't limited solely to the virtual world. Throughout the dinner and cocktail hour, elegantly attired models mingled with the guests, giving them a chance to see how the Quai de L'Ile
timepieces look on a human arm. A representation of Quai de L'Ile watches were also on hand so that everyone who desired to do so could try the watches for themselves.
