Vacheron Constantin To Sponsor Patrimony Concert With Inma Shara

Genevan watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin will be sponsoring an upcoming classical musical performance, set to take place on October 1, in Taiwan.  The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Concert, as it is called, takes its name from the brand's most classical watch collection, and will feature the Taiwanese National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Spanish conductor Imma Shara.

Shara, a pupil of Alexander Rahbari and Sir Colin Davis, is one of the foremost female conductors of her generation, having conducted various orchestras in Czechoslovakia, Russia, and her native Spain.  During her career, Shara has also conducted the Russian National Symphony, and has collaborated with internationally renowned colleague Zubin Mehta in the direction of the Bayerische Staatsoper.  Vacheron Constantin, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious watch brands, has represented Shara as an ambassador since 2007.

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Concert will present the works of Spanish composers Joaquin Turina and Manuel de Falla, including De Falla's opera, "La vida breve".  Sergei Rachmaninov's beloved Piano Concerto No. 2 will also be performed, played by acclaimed young pianist Ching-Yun Hu, a silver medal laureate of the 2008 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.
