Watchmaking Winners of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix
The Grand Theatre of Geneva was the venue of the seventh Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix held in mid-November. The award ceremony included a 3D film celebrating the diversity of Geneva and each winner was invited to donate an example of their prize winning watch to the Watch and Enamelling Museum of the City of Geneva. Over 1,500 guests were in attendance, including many well-known collectors and some of the most prominent names in the Swiss watch industry.

For 2007, the winners are ....

For the Special Jury Prize -- Jaeger LeCoultre for its Reverso Grande Complication a Triptyque
For the Ladies' Watch Prize -- Cartier
For the Design Watch Prize -- Audemars Piguet for its Millenary Watch with Deadbeat Seconds
For the Sports Watch Prize -- Audemars Piguet for the Chronographe Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team
For the Jewellery Watch Prize -- Hublot
For the Complicated Watch Prize -- Harry Winston
For the Public Prize -- Zenith for the Defy Extreme Open Stealth

To encourage the growth and tradition of Swiss watchmaking, an award was presented for the best first year student at the Geneva Watchmakers' School. The winner, Bastien Anderes, was given a watch-tool case gifted by Montblanc and an internship with the company.
