Zenith Defy Xtreme Open Stealth watch The Zenith Defy Xtreme Open Stealth watch unites the traditional watchmaking arts with high tech design elements to present a unique creation of both style and substance. Those seeking an uncompromising watch that combines mechanical watchmaking expertise with an unmistakable confidence will find this Defy Xtreme timepiece to be an outstanding choice. The Zenith Defy Extreme Open Stealth timepiece has an authoritative presence; in materials and design, this watch cannot fail to provoke an immediate response. The wrist-spanning 46.5mm case is crafted from black or white titanium, a material chosen by Zenith for a variety of reasons, including its hypoallergenic comfort, exceptional strength, and comforting light weight. Every aspect of the case design emphasizes high performance, including screw-down chronograph pushers and a screw-down crown, which has a massive cover protecting it from shocks. When combined with the massive caseback, this Zenith watch can resist crushing water pressure to a depth of 1000 meters. A helium valve is also incorporated into the case, allowing the venting of the intrusive gases which are present in deep sea diving situations. The massive bezel turns only in the counterclockwise direction, assuring safety in demanding underwater situations. The dial is finely matched to this visually arresting ensemble, being manufactured from hesalite glass, carbon fiber, and brushed aluminum. Inside the Defy Xtreme Open Stealth watch, ticks the 4021 SX El Primero chronograph caliber. Manufactured by Zenith, this distinguished mechanical movement features 248 individual components. This fine, column-wheel controlled, integrated chronograph mechanism is enriched with a power reserve complication, that shows the status of the movement's 55-hour power reserve. Like the famous original El Primero movement which was introduced by Zenith in the late 1960's, the balance wheel of this mechanism beats at the rapid cadence of 36,000 alternations per hour, a unique technical element that permits the chronograph to time independent intervals to a precision of 1/10 second. Purpose built for the most demanding situations, this specially developed El Primero movement has bridges which have been strengthened by anti-shock bridges; thanks to this innovation, the movement is maximally resistant to the duress of demanding situations imposed by extreme sports. Both the black and the white versions of the Zenith Defy Xtreme Open Stealth timepiece are presented with a titanium bracelet that displays a knurled texture on the center links, and a highly secure triple deployant clasp.
