Zenith Starissime Open Minute Repeater Watch

Swiss watch manufacture Zenith has revealed a new and extremely prestigious model for its opulent Starissime collection.  A dynamic display of complicated watchmaking and feminine fashionability, this precious Zenith timepiece presents a 42mm case in 18K white gold whose bezel, lugs, and flanks are set with nearly ten carats of "Top Wesselton" baguette diamonds.

Concealed within this brilliant exhibition of the jeweler's art is an extraordinary mechanical movement.  Comprised of 461 individual components, the Zenith El Primero 4043 caliber features a minute repeater, one of the most celebrated--and difficult--complications in all of fine watchmaking.  By activating the slide lever on the left side of the case, the wearer can be "told" the time via a series of melodious strikes: single low tones for the hours, alternating high-low tones for the quarter hours, and high tones for the individual minutes.  Adding to the aural charm of the minute repeater is the diamond-set star and treble clef apertures in the mother of pearl dial, which allow a fascinating glimpse of the complex workings of the balance wheel and repeating mechanism.  Zenith's famous column-wheel controlled chronograph mechanism is another feature of the high-frequency Caliber 4043 movement, which is self-winding and features a 50-hour power reserve.  A sapphire crystal exhibition back reveals the workmanship of the mechanical movement, and its ornate diamond-set 22K white gold rotor.

The Starissime Open Minute Repeater is complimented by an exotic strap in galuchat leather and an 18-karat white gold triple-deployant buckle.  These Zenith watches feature a curved crystal in sapphire, and are water resistant to 30 meters.
