Bulgari, the celebrated house of luxury, is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a unique retrospective exhibition that presents milestones of Bulgari history from 1884 onward to the modern day. The exhibit, entitled "Between Eternity and History: 1884-2009" began on May 22nd, and will conclude on September 13th, 2009.
Leading stars from the world of entertainment, accomplished entrepreneurs, and political figures were among the illustrious guests lending their presence to the inaugural events at Rome's prestigious Exposition Palace. The roster of notables at the cocktail party included Jessica Alba, Chloe Sevigny, Enrique Iglesias, Selma Blair, Alain Delon, Ginnifer Goodwin, Patricia Field, Elsa Pataky, Valeria Golino, Ricardo Scamarcio, Beppe Firello, Vittoria Puccini, Cristiana Capotondi, Gabriele Muccino, Ferzan Oxpetek, Claudio Baglioni, Luca Argentero, Stefano Accorsi, Valentina Cervi, Francesca Neri, Giorgio Pasotti, Nicoletta Romanoff, and Samantha Morton. Also present was Gianni Alemanno, Mayor of Rome. The celebration activities were warmly hosted by Francesco Trapani, Managing Director of Bulgari along with the President and Vice President of Bulgari, Paulo and Nicola Bulgari.
Between Eternity and History: 1884-2009 is also a springboard for Bulgari's "Rewrite the Future" campaign, which utilizes a specially assembled collection of exceptional watches and jewelry to raise funds for the education of children in countries ravaged by war. The collection, composed of eleven couture jewelry pieces and seven timepieces will be auctioned off at a special Christie's New York sale on December 8th, 2009. Total value of these items is approximately 3 million Euros.
