The New David Yurman Renaissance Pendants

David Yurman has introduced a new pendant to the already popular Renaissance collection. The pendants follow the fashion spring trend of color. The new pieces have the same Renaissance style and the same colorful pop.
The new pendants revive old world jewelry designs of the Renaissance period (1400s to 1600s). These pendants strongly resemble the ones worn by royal families, including the King Henry VIII, the Tudors and his court. Some of the primary differences between the new pendants and their inspiration are that the original Renaissance jewelry pieces were fashioned in gold and yellow gold and tend to use deep red and dark green gemstones. The David Yurman Renaissance pendants are made in sterling silver and feature sky blue topaz stones, turquoise, rose quartz, smoky quartz, and lime green peridot stones.
Shown here is one version of the new pendants. There are a few key design parts of which to take notice. First, the pendant resembles a compass rose with eight points. At the cardinal points are the larger faceted blue topaz stones. At the points in between the cardinal points are smaller un-faceted turquoise stones. Each of the stones has a sterling silver trim, which is actually the setting that holds the stone in place. This style of pendant is also available with smoky quartz or rose quartz (at the cardinal points) and peridot stones (in between the cardinal points). The pendants can be worn on multi strand necklaces as seen here or can be worn on thicker, single strand, sterling silver chains.
