Tiffany to Open Third Las Vegas Location Late 2008
While many luxury brands are looking to international expansion in Asia, the Middle East and Europe, Tiffany & Co has been making other plans. Recently announced, Tiffany will celebrate the opening of their third location – that’s right, number 3! – inside the The Crystals at CityCenter. The Tiffany boutique will be a grand 10,000-square-foot, two-level store facing Las Vegas Boulevard. The store is scheduled to open late-2009. Tiffany & Co.’s other retail locations are at the Shops at Via Bellagio and The Forum Shops at Caesars.

The Crystals is a mesmerizing retail and entertainment district covering 500,000-square-feet, currently under development in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. Tiffany & Co will dazzle the eyes with its polished black marble framing the iconic deco-inspired stainless steel Tiffany doors and the grand sculptural staircase and curved, 85-foot ceiling. The spacious interior will feature the gleaming stainless steel showcases, luxurious furnishings and atmosphere and mottled Makore wood and Italian marbles.

“Thanks to the vision of world-renowned architects and urban planners, we have seen the future of elegant, as well as sustainable, design, and it is CityCenter,” said Beth O. Canavan, executive vice president of Tiffany & Co. “We are thrilled to open our doors in this dynamic urban landscape, and we have designed an equally gracious and modern store in which to welcome our many customers in the region to the Tiffany shopping experience of utmost quality, craftsmanship and service.”

Shoppers will delight in the exclusive Tiffany & Co. collections on display at the boutique. These will include the diamonds and engagement rings; couture jewelry; fine and sterling silver jewelry; fine watches; gifts; accessories; as well as the celebrated designs of Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso, Jean Schlumberger and Frank Gehry.

Originally a stationery and fancy goods emporium called Tiffany & Young, the multi-million dollar luxury jewelry company was established in 1837 and introduced the little Tiffany Blue Box in the same year. The retailer was renamed to Tiffany & Co. in 1853 by Charles Lewis Tiffany. One of the many achievements under the direction of Mr. Tiffany was the introduction of the 6-prong Tiffany setting engagement ring which has become a timeless classic. Tiffany & Co. remains a prestigious American house of design and premier jeweler.
