Pre-SIHH 2008: Girard-Perregaux Microvar Balance

Girard-Perregaux will demonstrate its dedication to the values of chronometry with an advanced new free-sprung balance system.   Dubbed the Microvar Balance, it features a glucydur balance with six gold screws, and two regulating weights; these adjustable elements allow exceptional fine-tuning of the watch rate, to a value of +/- 40 seconds per day.  Also key to the Girard-Perregaux Microvar balance system is a newly designed balance cock; it features a fine adjuster with an eccentric screw that enables precise setting of the adjusting mark.
