Piaget Limelight Twice Watch Wins 2009 "Ladies Watch" Prize In Geneva

The Piaget Limelight Twice, a feminine luxury watch with two distinctively elegant identities, succeeded in captivating the distinguished international jury of the 9th annual Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve, resulting in Piaget receiving the coveted "Ladies Watch" prize. After receiving the esteemed industry prize, Piaget CEO Philippe Leopold Metzger addressed the assembled crowd of several hundred in Geneva's Grand Theatre to express his gratitude. Mr. Metzger also extended his heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Piaget, who in his words, are "responsible for the beauty and grandeur of this brand".

Equipped with two Piaget manufacture quartz movements--and hence, a time display on either side--the 18K white gold Limelight Twice watch can be either an extremely glamorous object of haute joaillerie, or a refined ladies dress timepiece with a less conspicuous air. Three versions have been created by Piaget; of the two references on satin straps, one marries a silvered dial with large expanded Roman numerals and a diamond-set bezel to a smaller reverse dial surrounded by a white gold border engraved with a fine radiating guilloche pattern. The second model on satin strap takes delightful luxury a step further--in addition to the silvered dial with diamond-set bezel, the reverse side of the watch is fully pave-set with round brilliant diamonds. Piaget's renowned love for details as a jeweler and watchmaker extends even to the white gold clasps, which feature a plain, polished surface on one side and round brilliant diamonds on the other.

The final reference of the Piaget Limelight Twice watch is joined to an exceptionally fluid and graceful white gold bracelet. As with the version discussed previously, this model features full pave diamond setting on its secondary dial side. The bracelet echoes the transformative beauty of the Piaget Limelight Twice case and dial with highly polished white gold on one side, and full diamond setting on the reverse. Between case, pave dial, and the white gold bracelet, some nineteen carats of round brilliant diamonds---680 stones in all--are present, giving this versatile Piaget jewelry watch a truly majestic presence.
