Richard Mille RM025 - Diver's Watch With Tourbillon And Chronograph

Celebrated high luxury watchmaker Richard Mille has introduced a remarkable diver's timepiece which showcases the horological exclusivity expected of this brand in a 50.70mm-diameter round case.  The first Richard Mille model to dispense with the signature tonneau form, the RM 025 Tourbillon Chronograph Diver's watch has been specifically designed to effectively resist the pressure found 300 meters below the ocean's surface.

Created to correspond with the strict standards of ISO 6425, which establishes certain norms for dive timepieces, the Richard Mille RM025 Tourbillon Chronograph Diver's case is notable for both its secure water-tight construction, and intricate workmanship.   Constructed from a combination of red or white gold and titanium, it features a tripartite structure joined together with torque screws that permit a particularly precise and even pressure-sealing; the unidirectional rotating bezel is equally elaborate, being comprised of three layers, all joined by a system of 24 screws.  In addition to the perfect tactile feel of the bezel movement these screws allow, they also preclude any chance the bezel will be dislodged from the case.   A screw-down crown and specially designed chronograph pushers contribute to the impressive water resistance rating.

The Richard Mille RM 025 Tourbillon Diver's watch utilizes the exclusive Richard Mille Caliber 025.  The product of extensive research and development the hand-wound RM 025 combines a column-wheel controlled chronograph with a one-minute tourbillon equipped with a variable-inertia balance beating at a rate of 21,600 beats per hour.  The caliber also offers a torque indicator that reveals the optimum mainspring tension curve, a power reserve indicator (up to 70 hours) and a function selector that enables the choice of "neutral", "winding" and "hand-setting".  A range of meticulously-engineered details such as the use of friction-reducing titanium components in the chronograph control, specialized tooth profiles, and an in-line escapement design fall completely in line with the horological priorities established by Richard Mille--a striking marriage of the finest traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge micro-mechanics.  Ease of serviceability and performance under demanding conditions were also major considerations in the design of the RM 025 caliber.

Due to its complexity and intricate craftsmanship, only a handful of Richard Mille RM 025 Tourbillon Diver's watches will be produced annually.  Each timepiece is fitted with a specially designed rubber dive strap.
