TAG Heuer Wins 2009 Red Dot Awards For Product Design
By Adam Keith, Associate Timepiece Editor for ViaLuxe-

At the 2009 Red Dot award ceremony, TAG Heuer has claimed Product Design prizes for two of its timepieces--the Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS Caliper Chronograph, and the Aquaracer 500M watch.  It is the fifth occasion in which TAG Heuer products have earned Red Dots from the acclaimed Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, a prestigious design center which annually recognizes a wide range of product fields, as well as innovation in corporate advertising and marketing campaigns.

In addition to timepieces, the categories evaluated by the Red Dot international jury includes cars, home appliances, furniture, shoes, and eyewear.  Each contender is evaluated according to a rigorous standard which takes into account fundamental product quality, innovativeness, and user functionality.  Thousands of products are submitted from companies in more than 60 countries.

Within the previous seven years, TAG Heuer has garnered Red Dot product design awards for its Monaco Calibre 360LS Concept and Caliber 360 Concept chronograph watches, as well as its Physics Sport Vision eyewear collection.
